Dieselpunks

Dieselpunk + Steampunk Culture

I was in a toystore today, trying to find a present for my niece. I noticed that Lego has a few sets and figurines that fit the 1930s/40s era. I thought some of you might be interested to see these. I know some have made their own dieselpunk modifications and builds, but this is for the less creative of us, who might just want to buy these "for their kids".

These guys are from the Indiana Jones themed sets. They´re supposedly Hong Kong gangsters.

The Indiana Jones themed sets also featured two cars:

As well as a few airplanes:

Besides the usual sets, there´s also a bunch of stand-alone figures. They each have individual themes. Including guy in gorilla suit, zombie and evil dwarf. Here´s one that´s a gangster, one that´s a pilot and one that´s a mad scientist.

While finding these pictures, I realized there are some older sets with a 1930s theme, such as Orient Adventure. However I decided to just go with the ones that can easily be bought in stores today, or we´d be here all day. I should probably mention I got the pictures from Brickipedia.

"I expect you to die, Doctor Jones."

Nice find! I'll have to get these for John when he's old enough!

"Don't call me Junior!"

great study!

If you gave those two gangsters at the top, the red facial scarf from the cowboy line and a revolver in either hand, you´d have The Shadow. The Indiana Jones figure with a ripped shirt could be used for Doc Savage.
