Cute, especially this one. Probably "cute" is not the right word here but I like your work. And you're not alone in Melbourne (great Art Deco buildings there, btw).
very nice mods. This stuff always fascinates me and gets my imagination going.

Can I ask about the headphones? Were you able to thread the earpieces through holes you created or did you have to cut the wires and then solder them back together again? I'm asking as I tried the latter on a pair of headphones working on a similar project (bakelite headphone cups, rather than the usual steel or aluminum cups) and wasn't able to get teh headphones to work again after soldering and thought you might have some tips.

All the other projects look great!

Howdy Ridley,

There is a bit of a secret about the wires, you need to expose the wires and then take a flame to them, crazy enough it seems Apple and a few other manufacturers, puts conformal coating over each strand of wire. Once you have done this you should be hearing sound from the head phones.

When you got her nailed, send a pic of it, love to see new ideas when it comes to the IPod or MP3 mod, I was limited when I did this project, and figured a tin would be fun.

Thanks for the feedback Ridley, I greatly appreciate it.

Caleb, is it the coating that gives the writes their red and gold coloring? Makes complete sense if it is. Thanks for that tip, BTW. Currently the headphones are the project, my iPod currently lives in an olive drab canvas belt loop that looks a little like an ammo pouch, so I'm leaving that project for last...
