Dieselpunks

Dieselpunk + Steampunk Culture

Yesterday, one of the local bicycle clubs (Rolling Relics) sponsored a Halloween bike ride. Costumes were encouraged, so in keeping with the theme of the club, which specializes in riding vintage bikes, I decided to take out the Racycle for this trip. It is, after all, an almost 100 year old bike. I then took it a step further, and wore an outfit that I thought fit the era of the bike. I was going for "Ace Racer." Kristine wore her dieselpunk nurse's outfit, which had her looking sexy as hell, and also totally fit the event. For my son, who we didn't originally think would be with us, we threw together a quick cheap Bronco's costume, with the help of a short trip to the thrift store. He loves these rides, so I was happy that he could be with us.

It was a fun ride, with a stop in Old Sacramento, and Kris and I got a lot of compliments on our costumes, which of course, seemed to match. A good time, most definitely.
