Dieselpunks

Dieselpunk + Steampunk Culture

Big Rude Jake
(born A. Jake Hiebert) is a singer, songwriter and jazz musician from Toronto, Ontario, Canada. He recorded several albums with different jazz ensembles and musicians, mixing rock, blues, ragtime, swing, rhythm and blues and punk rock together. Some attention was brought to Jake in the late 1990s, during the swing revival.

That particular "punk rock" fusion is what draw my attention initially. However, if he indeed mixes punk rock, I've yet to find it.

He makes some pretty decent swing revival though, and adds a nice touch of "graveness" through his voice. Check it out for yourself:

In YouTube, get the embed code. Choose one that isn't over 640 pixels wide.

When you're writing an entry, click on the HTML button at the top. Paste the embed code there and you're set. Don't worry if it doesn't show up in your preview. It will be there when you post the entry.
Thanks!
I love Big Rude Jake. One of my favorite swing bands! And Queer for Cat is such a hilarious song.
Really, thanks a lot, Tome. I could never figure it out.

And thanks, Hayen for the post.
