Dieselpunks

Dieselpunk + Steampunk Culture

I really enjoyed this complete series -

The Night Owls

This book has the setting in 1926 and lots of details from The Thin Man to the X-Files, and it can be downloaded from the DC Comics app.

Is that a gargoyle on the cover or a flying monkey?

A Gargoyle. A damn funny gargoyle too.

Some other great series to check out - Rocketeer Adventures, Mystery Men, Flash Gordon: Zeitgeist, and Lobster Johnson; The Burning Hand. All really well written and drawn. Check them out!

Check out 'Iron & the Maiden' from Aspen Comics. It'll be hard to find but looks good.

Some great ideas! Thanks you guys!

Try Marvel Comics 4 issue set CRASH RYAN from 11-84. The 4 issue set can bo obtained at many comic stores online for $2.

Check out the short lived Spurs Jackson and his Space Vigilantes

Jackson's plutonium gun was capable of shooting minature atom bombs.

.............cowboys fighting Nazi soldiers on Mars !  It don't get any better.

How about The Red Star?

I've always loved the "Rocco Vargas" series by Daniel Torres: http://www.amazon.com/Rocco-Vargas-Daniel-Torres/dp/1569712867.  It's set in an Art Deco future, and the artwork is classic "clean line" style (ala Tin Tin).

Red Star is awsome.

I've wanted to get into comic books for awhile now...

thanks for so many good starting places!
