Dieselpunks

Dieselpunk + Steampunk Culture

I am so happy I stumbled onto this site.  You guys are the community I have been trying to find and become a part of for so long.  My name is Danny, I'm an author and the owner of a small press called Amalgamated Creative Enterprises (ACE) based out of Virginia in the United States.  My first book, and the the first in an on-going series, is called The Secret Files of Lucky Ford, Mission I: The Dragon, the Wolf and the Maiden.  It is a Weird War 2 book influenced by adventure pulp from the thirties to the sixties, written in the style of eighties mens adventure novels.  I also have a short story series set in the world of Lucky Ford called The Billy Club Bastard, a tale of a Weird War I veteran who's become a burnt-out private eye in 1940 Tampa by day and a masked vigilante by night.  The Bastard's first adventure will be my submission to the October Big City exhibition, so keep an eye out for that.  The Secret Files of Lucky Ford will be available for sale only through my website, UnusualOccurrences.com, within the next two weeks.  For more information on my work, visit UnusualOccurrences.com, or email me directly at UnusualOccurrences@gmail.com.  Thanks for your time, and I hope you find my work interesting.

Well met, Mr. Baldwin.

Can't wait to read The Billy Club Bastard. Sounds like a hoot!
I'm eager to meet the Bastard.
BCB will be out Sunday, of course the last possible day. I was hoping to finish editing tomorrow, but as I work nights and I just have to attend the Stewart/Colbert Rally all day tomorrow, The Billy Club Bastard in... The Case of the Smiling Smuggler will be submitted to the October exhibition Sunday, and will be available to read on UnusualOccurrences.com Monday morning.
Looking forward to it.

Are you in favor of restoring sanity or fear?

Billy Club Bastard is on the Exhibition page, or available for free pdf dl from UnusualOccurrences.com. Version 2.0 coming soon, with several changes and edits.
Welcome! Glad to see another Virginia Dieselpunk. What part of the state you hail from? I'm in the Fredericksburg area.
I'm a bit north of you, up in Fairfax for now, though hoping to relocate a bit shortly.
Not too far distance-wise. Traffic-wise, however...the horror!

Where are you hoping to relocate?

PS: great hat store just south of Fred if you ever need a good fedora. It's the only one I know of in the mid atlantic.
I'm probably gonna move a bit deeper south to go back to school, but that's not the big news. The big news is that the first novel in The Secret Files of Lucky Ford series is now available on my website, UnusualOccurrences.com. If you like wild technology, intense action, and want to support the ideal of no Nazi going without a punch to the face, this is the book for you!
