I have just stumbled upon a great source of misc data on WWI: http://www.europeana1914-1918.eu/en
I remember the agreed dieseplunk timeline, but I am sure useful info could be found on a mentioned portal, especially at "personal" level
Just take a look at this set, for example: http://www.europeana1914-1918.eu/en/contributions/6730#prettyPhoto
WWI begins and influences the diesel-era moreso than any other event, so this is perfect for budding writers and alt-history fans. Thanks for the tip, Komissar!
The 100th aniversary of the Franz Ferdinand assassination is the 28th of June. We Dieselpunks should mark that date, somehow.
sounds like marking the death or birthday of hitler or any other thing like this. sorry, but i am not in favour for marking days like this at all. maybe 1 minute silence in rememberance of the 30 mio dead that was the final result of that assasination. destroying austria-hungarian was a historical necessity after all. and times were rough then. one man's terrorist is another man's freedom fighter.
An Interesting and Informative site loaded with some Great Vintage photos! Thanks for the link, Komissar!!!
sometimes it is useful to follow European Comission on G+:)
