Dieselpunks

Dieselpunk + Steampunk Culture

I came across this site rather randomly...I have a bad habit of looking up something on google or wikipedia and then following links until I have completely lost track of what it is I was first looking for.
When I saw that there was a group and a forum involving fashion, I had to join, even though an hour ago I'd never heard of dieselpunk, only steampunk.
I am a musician (harpist, singer, composer), actress, artist of sorts, writer, and I do costumes for local theater and more recently short films. In the past few years I've found myself drawn to the fashions of the 30s-50s. I love the "New Look" dresses, hats, and Art Deco jewelry, etc...
Being new to the whole concept of dieselpunk, I know I still have a lot to learn, but I am excited.
Well, enough of my rambling. It's a very bad habit of mine.

When I saw you were a harpist... I thought you meant my instrument, the Blues harp. And now I'm wondering how a harp and a harmonica would sound together... we'll have to jam sometime and find out. :)

Anyway, welcome!
I'm trying to reply to Johnny B. Goode's reply, but not sure if I'm actually replying to myself instead. I clicked to reply to the reply...well, okay, now I'm making it sound so much more confusing than it actually is. ;-)
dueling harps indeed! it would be much cooler than dueling banjos. i think i jammed with a harmonica at a coffee house thing in college once or twice.
Hi Evangeline!

We're always happy to see new people pop in. If you have any place where we can hear your music, please let us know.

You are certainly in the right place. Welcome, Evangeline. And no need to apologize for anything. It's great to have you with us.
Welcome! And yes, you're in the right place!

Dueling Harps...Angel's Strings versus the Delta Crossroads Devil. I have to hear that!
