It's snowing here on the East Coast. The second blizzard for this season, which is unusual and unseen since 1996.
No sense shoveling. 50mph winds and non-stop snow since 2200h last night have created Snowpocalypse conditions. I can't even tell how deep it is.
Staring out the window, it looks chest deep in some areas and about 1 meter deep in others. Without the drifts, it's about up to the windows on our cars and there's no sign of it slowing down.
Here's hoping that it will be 100' and sunny tomorrow so I won't have to shovel out of this mess.
? Hmm, here in germany it has (with some short breaks) been snowing since the end of December untill a few days (last wednesday) the temperature climbed up a bit again. But generally the last weeks were full of snow. An island in the east-sea (Hiddensee) was even cut off and they had to use helicopters to send bread, vegetables and cigarettes ;-)
I hail from Louisiana originally, and now live around Chicago.
Still haven't got used to snow....Ice should require a machine, not fall out of the sky and lay around on the ground for 4 months.
