This is the Raygun rifle I've been working on in between other projects for quite some time.
I first made the frame of it out of copper piping and plumbing fittings. Not happy with it, I added some brass tubing, including the barrel. I then skinned the body and stock with sheet brass. There's a hidden little button on the body that, when depressed, makes some firing type noises, and the inside of the barrel glows red.
The LEDs in the barrel and the electronic guts came from a toy race car from the dollar store that made engine noises and lit up when you pushed the button.
Overall, I'm still mixed on my feelings for how it came out. It still looks like plumbing works to me. But I'm not done with it, either. I want to continue to dress it up, including making the pistol grip more elaborate, and adding some details on the body.

Small pieces like a flash suppressor, scope, a magazine, or just some ridge lines would help break up the pipe look.

I have added a couple of small details since these pictures, but you said scope. While I don't know if I want a scope, it got my wife and I talking about adding sights, which I've come up with a good idea for.
Think an old fashioned flip up cross-hair sight.

I'll continue to improve it over time.
