Dieselpunk + Steampunk Culture

"New" Breed of Post Apocalyptic imagery in harder music...

Ok, this is NOT "typical" dieselpunk music with jazz or whatever influences, no... In the last years some bands of the punk and metal scene once again (was fairly common in the 80s/90s) let themselves be influenced by wicked, crazy post-apocalyptic Mad Max-like stuff and I really enjoy this!

Some bands take a more "crazy" approach than others (CoT, down below for example are totlly Mad Max influenced) while others, like INEPSY, have a (loose) concept of actually making a soundtrack for the end of the world, hehe.
The Inepsy song I link here for example is the final song of their album "City Weapons" which starts with the bombing of a city, accompanies the survivor (a motorcycle rocker) on his escape from the destruction and ends with the song "Last Call" - indeed, the very last call until the curtain falls ;-)

INEPSY (kind of "crusted" Motörhead rocking stuff)

CHILDREN OF TECHONOLGY (raging Metalpunk)

WASTELANDER (Black/Thrash/Crust)

great "City Weapons" review with incorporating the themes to the songs in a story like way:
