Dieselpunk + Steampunk Culture
Off to Comic Con
I'll be gone from Thursday through Sunday, enjoying Comic Con in San Diego and representing the Toy Soldiers, and, of course, Dieselpunks.org.
The highlight of the Con, for 'punks like us anyway, is the big steampunk meetup and photoshoot Saturday afternoon. I decided not to dress steampunk this year but rather dieselpunk. I found a double-breasted suit jacket at Salvation Army which I've modded a bit, and adding a black captain's hat to make a riff on a zeppelin pilot's uniform. It should be a big hit, I think.

Back from the Con (and boy are my legs tired!).
Sadly, the camera on my phone is really awful, but I did manage to get a few pics. Here are a couple:
My attire at a steampunk concert Thursday night. While it's a steampunk band, one of the band members dresses in a more dieselpunk style, so I thought I'd honor that.
My new Toy Soldier uniform. Horrible photo, I know; my camera resized it inexplicably. Wearing my Dieselpunks.org pin on one collar.
