Roaring Twenties, Dirty Thirties, what's next?
Is there any name/nickname for the other decades?
I've recently bought several music collections which suggested names such as:
Fantastic Fourties
Fabulous Fifties
Super Sixties
But I think those names merely reflect the music of the time rather than the whole decade, in all its forms, both good and bad,
Any ideas?

I thinking Fightin' Forties would be more appropriate. Fifties I'm not to sure on. And the only thing I have ever heard to describe the 60's is turbulent.

Sounds good. I also heard of Swinging Sixties (from wikipedia: "The decade was also labeled the Swinging Sixties because of the fall or relaxation of some social taboos especially relating to sexism and racism that occurred during this time."). And I came up with Bellic Forties, but Fightin' Forties sounds better
