Dieselpunks

Dieselpunk + Steampunk Culture

I was catching a wave, surfing the net and found some aces artwork! I'm completely taken with his Batman posters but all of his stuff caught my eye.

Very Cool!

Good find. I came across his Superman last year but never had enough patience to find the artist's gallery.

Those indeed very cool. Rodolforever, in my opinion, is certainly a very good dieselpunk artist. When one looks through his varies galleries, it seems to me that he has really captured the art deco style of posters. I noticed he even captured the Googie style of art popular in the late 50s through 60s.

I've been a fan of art deco ever since watching The 90's Batman cartoon growing up. I wanted to literally life in that version of Gotham, maybe one day!

I Googled Googie, (that might sound dirty ;) ) and yes he did interpret that style well. I wasn't familiar with the term but when I saw it I instantly knew that I've seen Googie plenty before at certain Diner's and bowling alleys growing up. What a great time when optimism and the future was bright! I thought we'd have flying cars by now.

Some of his movie poster renditions were spot on! I'm thinking next time I have extra dough, a print and a nice frame would class up any room in the pad.
