Streamlining is an obvious response to rising diesel prices. I like the look of Navistar's streamlined 18-wheeler. Reminiscent of images from the late '30s?

It's uncanny how much "old knowledge" is reappearing in the world of energy.  The DoD is seriously considering Airships as aerial command/control/reconnaissance platforms due to the long loiter for low fuel use.  Bulding designers are dusting off old architecture textbooks from the Steam Era to "remember" how to design buildings to maximize cooling airflow now that HVAC is becoming a major cost driver.  Even Stirling engines are making a big comeback, particularly in thermal solar and cogeneration.

You said it, Tony.  Did you see the article this week about reviving plans for vacuum tube-trains?

Neat looking truck tractors, kind of like Chrysler's "Cab-Forward" of 1993-2004 for big Dodge and Chrysler sedans as well as the Neons. I am original owner of a 1998 Dodge Neon coupe. The coupe looks sort of like a NIKE swoosh with wheels which I have always liked.

That I did not, Tome.  Do you have a link?
