Dieselpunks

Dieselpunk + Steampunk Culture

after having a very disappointing dinner at a place in Pittsburgh that billed it self as a "rat pack" era type supper club, Cefalo's,(looked nice but awful food and the servers may as well have been in TGIFridays...sigh)  I was wondering if there are still such things in existence that actually are like something from "All through the Night",  "Casablanca", etc.

Anyone have any personal experience or even rumors of any?  I've found a little googling:

Pittsburgh, huh? i live in western Maryland, 2 hours away....there needs to be a regional steampunk/dieselpunk/metapunk group, lol.

Anyhoo, a place like the South Seas Club from the Rocketeer would be awesome..

More speakeasy than Rat Pack, but "The Farmer's Cabinet" in Philly is home to local jazz icon Drew Nugent.  High end food, two bars (one normal, one old fashioned), live ragtime and jazz music at nights, and good atmosphere > http://www.thefarmerscabinet.com/

Right now, I'm in Harrisburg and my husband is living in Pittsburgh.  Seems to be a fair number of various 'punks around the Mason Dixon line :)

The Farmer's Cabinet looks fantastic!  Might have to find myself on Amtrak to Philly to check it out.

I found a couple more possiblities:

Hmmm, thanks, Hexi, I'll have to check out the Carly Club...it's nearly local!
