Dieselpunk + Steampunk Culture

Hey Australia.

Shame on you.  The season is just about done and no one has posted a single thing about Underbelly: Razor yet.  It's like an Aussie version of Boardwalk Empire if they put Guy Ritchie in charge of directing it.  I just watched the first two episodes, and while it had some rough patches, it was fun all over.  Can't wait to see the rest.

I just learned about this myself. We must have some of the same Facebook friends. :) Here's a slide show of the fashion in the show.

I just posted that slideshow right before posting this :)

It's hard to carry a pistol in your trousers with just a pair of suspenders.

it is impossible to notice the pistol on the picture. and I really do not think that it was OK to carry guns openly, especially if one considers "Razor". still, I do not have any objections about suspenders and a pistol belt. of course, if the pistol has the appropriate level of badassity.

I don't know if it's in the picture, but they were shoving heat down their pants all the time in the pilot episode.  It's a wonder they didn't shoot themselves in the crotch every time they got into a bar fight.

Australian tv series are vrey often 13 episodes in length. Underbelly Razor is the 4th series of underbelly.this time being set in the 20s and 30s.all 13 episodes are available. along with 3 and 5. at watchseries-online.eu. Go to the INDEX then U and pick the Underbelly series you desire. I prefer vidbux(flv) or vidxden(flv)

Enjoy

Plus, if you look at Australia on a map, it's way down there on the bottom, and as we all know, gravity gets stronger the further down you are.  And no place is further "down" than the "down under" country of Australia.

It took scientists until the late 1950s to develop belt polymers strong enough to keep Australian gravity from yanking everyone's pants down; hence, belts + braces in the 1920s.

Wait, wouldn't pants fall up in Australia?
