Dieselpunk + Steampunk Culture

Greetings from Poland, everyone!
I'm gwyn_blath and I'm from this strange yet fascinating little European country. I'm also a huge fan of steampunk and neo-Victorian stuff. Along with Squirel (who has introduced herself earlier) I work on the Polish Unhallowed Metropolis & steampunk RPG site. I usually concentrate on Victorian culture and RPGs & book reviews in my articles, but I don't limit myself to that. All sorts of things connected to those appeal to me, that's why I'm here! :)
Apart from that, I'm a student at a university and a happy (although often irritated) co-owner of two rats, Edgar & Allan.

Just don't get any cats.
I mention this because I know several people with many dogs and cats.

I really hate cats, but every cat owner wants to kill me while I'm saying that. ;-)

Nah, I think cats are cute, but they all hate me - don't know why. Besides, my current flat is too small for anything bigger than a rabbit. So I only browse lolcats on the Internet ;)

I once had a rabbit, for like nine years - he stayed single ;)
Rats are very intelligent and fun, but also very stubborn, and sometimes like to irritate their owners. They are also great individuals - I've had three rats already (all males), and each of them was totally different from the others in terms of character & behaviour.

Well, that is good. I do not think I would want a stubborn animal as I am myself(imagine a tug of war between a human and a rat).

There are two universities in the city that I currently live in - Catholic University of Lublin (KUL) and Marie Curie-Sklodowska University (UMCS); I attend the latter as a student of the English Institute (linguistics track), and next year I'm writing my MA thesis.

There is also Natural Science University, and Medical University in Lublin. Year or two ago, both academies changed their names to universities.

Oh, right, I totally forgot :) And KUL was suppoused to change into "Humanities University of Lublin", but I guess they didn't do that ;)
