Yes, he is a great writer. What is your favorite of his? Mine still has to be the Great Gatsby. So many nuggets of clever writing in there ...

Here's a quote that speaks to me right now ...

“Life starts all over again when it gets crisp in the fall.”

Fitzgerald was one of the writers I was taught at high school in the UK (our school was very keen on American novelists) and, although others such as D H Lawrence and T S eliot had a more profound effect on me personally, he was one of the inspirations that led me to become a writer. There are lots of interesting stories about the "making of" The Great Gatsby, as well.
