Dieselpunks

Dieselpunk + Steampunk Culture

Evenin' everyone. Today I was going through any Industrial acts on Spotify that I could find and I saw this one name that caught my eye: "Detroit Diesel". I love industrial music and I'm a Detroit native as well, so you can imagine the reasons my eye was caught.

The bands style (picture/video included) and some song titles and album aesthetics to me reflected a dieselpunk air (Hell, as if the name didn't tip me off). Despite the name they are French-Canadian, and they're not band. If you are an industrial music liker or lover, I would recommend them. Just figured I should make them known on here if they weren't already.

Thanks - Ansel Haley

Also you could look them up on Spotify if you have it. If not, you can connect via facebook and it's free.

Nice find. I would highly recommend Komor Kommando for any dieselpunk industrial fans.

Komor Kommando is actually one reason I first heard of them because they (detroit diesel) did a remix of Triggerfinger. haha I'm already an avid KK listener.

Good man. I personally find that industrial is at it's best with a little Diesel in the mix, and vice versa.

Are you familiar with Cold War Atomic Orchestra?

No, I haven't! Sounds interesting though.

Obviously the thematic focus there is a little too late to be diesel but as far as the music goes, it works. http://www.myspace.com/coldwaratomicorchestra

Unbelievable, three new bands to my favourites on one day. Thanks, Ansel and Reuben!

Your most welcome Komrade Komissar. I wonder if either of you have listened to any Prometheus Burning.
