Dieselpunk Barry Manilow

Back in 1987, Barry Manilow released an album that I loved, in which he tried to combine some modern music sensibilities with the sound of the Big Band Era. It was called "Swing Street" and I now…Continue

If you were at a nightclub that played dieselpunk and electroswing music, what song would get you up and dancing as soon as you heard it?

Tuxedo Cat's and my first EP! Our song “And The Ghosts of Rapid Transit played...” was chosen as the Sepiachord Song of the Day on 2/21/2011. The EP – which evolved from bare bones home recordings to a full-sounding trio of songs through the talents of Tuxedo Cat's musician friends - Dave “Doc” Holladay & Kyle Wood (newgrass' Crucial Smith; hard rock's Naked Beggars), and was remixed by the amazing musician/producer/engineer Billy Sherwood (progressive rock legends Yes; Circa:). 3FTA is melodic, mandolin & harmony-driven alt. Americana with steam & diesel elements. :)Steve & Tuxedo Cat http://www.tuxedocatsings.bandcamp.com

This is electronic / perhaps light industrial music, very light and relaxing. The video itself is hypnotic mechanical footage from the 30's, described by one as "mechanical engineering porn". Hope you enjoy it.
