14 folks and nothing to say...common!
Who or what introduced you to the world of steampunk/dieselpunk? Books, friends, movies...etc?

hmm jules verne novels as a kid? An unnatural obcession with all things vintage and victorian? Baron Munchhausen? I'm not sure but I do know that about three years ago I got really into the asthetic and then I joined a steampunk band and never looked back .

The officers and crew of Der Fliegende Igel are billed as a Steampunk zeppelin, although they could very well fit into the Dieselpunk scene. Launched in 1919, this zeppelin is at the cusp of both cultures.

Welcome Oberst. It's great to have you with us. Yes, 1919 straddles that line indeed.

LOL @ Jessie

I got into Steampunk about 3 years or so ago after talking with a guy at an Anime con. I love the mentality and the essence of punk culture. Torn between Diesel and Steam, I ended up with steam after some of the awesome and wierd costumes I had seen. It really fit my personality. :)

Hi, lunatic! Same here. I was reading HG Wells, especially War of the Worlds, and such before there even was steampunk.
