In my mind, I have this huge Dieselpunk world where you have gangsters, zeppelins, heroes, and of course...MAD SCIENTISTS!  But I haven't seen or heard anything of such recently.  Dr. Horrible was…Continue

Just wondering if anybody wants to head out and meet up at a jazz club that's somewhere in between where everyone is?  Get all dressed and dolled up and have a night on the town!  Probably a great…Continue

I've been a fan of everything 1920's for a very long time.  I've also been a bit of a Steampunk (books, games, movies, etc.) for a while, but I'm still drawn to the look, feel, and sounds of the…Continue

Are mad scientists dead?

In my mind, I have this huge Dieselpunk world where you have gangsters, zeppelins, heroes, and of course...MAD SCIENTISTS!  But I haven't seen or heard anything of such recently.  Dr. Horrible was able to bring them back in a small way, but I haven't seeen or heard of any evil geniuses other than him.  Are they dead?  Is there any way to bring them back?See More

I love that house! They have one of the surviving houses at the Henry Ford Musem, and every time I go there, I have to wander around the house thinking "I wonder how I could talk them into letting me live here!" lol

I won't be able to attend due to geography, but I'll gladly send some funds your way. This way, you can buy a few drinks for everyone in honor of Dieselpunks. PM me with your address and I'll cut a check.

H. P. Lovecraft first introduced what has become known as "The Cthulhu Mythos" in the pages of a pulp magazine entitled WEIRD TALES. Since then, the Mythos has been further developed not only through pulp fiction stories, but in books, movies, comics, television, and other forms of popular culture. One of the most important of these formats has been the role playing game. Despite the evolution of Lovecraft's Mythos, its roots remain firmly grounded in the pulps of the early 20th…See More

I just have to make sure there will be others that are going to show up before hand. Then I'll put up a date. I think I found a place. It's in Royal Oak, it's called Goodnite Gracie.

That sounds like a great idea! If you decide on a date, throw it on the calendar and don't forget to let the rest of us know how it turns out.

Michigan Meetup?

Just wondering if anybody wants to head out and meet up at a jazz club that's somewhere in between where everyone is?  Get all dressed and dolled up and have a night on the town!  Probably a great way to meet new faces and that way we would actually know some people when the World Steam Expo comes to town (well, at least for me, anyway! lol). I'm looking online trying to find some nice places around here, but if anybody has any suggestions, that would be great!See More
