Not entirely sure what to call it yet. Probably something like Operation ---- or Project ----. Still thinking about that. It'll be a novella rather than a longer piece though. 

Having a bit of a fantasy moment at present. Latest smackdown in The Pub is fantasy oriented. 'Tis kinda fun, haven't done fantasy for ages. 

Aye still hacking away at it. I'e got the story plan pretty much settled, just got to flash it out now. Rather enjoying it, but got a bit more research to do on Churchill before I finish it. Once I've got it done I'll start chucking it up on Wattpad. 

Currently editing Windblown Saviour so I can get it up on Smashwords and also going to put my short story compilation on Amazon. Too many words, not enough brain cells...

Strangely enough, I hadn't given maritime tech much thought. I imagine that ships would be useful as refueling stations, to allow airships to make longer or more continuous patrols. Other than, that, I'll have to think on it. I really what you were saying about Ukraine.

As far as your TL, you might want to look into Civil War era torpedo boats. They weren't quite submersibles, but they sat low in the water, yet had a shallow enough draft for the harbors and waterways of the american south.

Well, it's still early days yet, but right now I've got the US remaining isolationist and the German Spring 1918 offensive not happening, prolonging the Great war by three or four years. In that time, rigid airships become more prevalent as Germany uses them to continue trading. The US, the main helium provider in the world, trades with everyone and purchases zeppelin plans, and rigid airships are adopted by all the major powers for trade and logistics. I'm also toying with the idea of the People's Republic of Ukraine surviving. 

My story will take place in the early 1930s, involving the theft of a fighter prototype by mercenaries in the pay of the newly risen Nazi Party. The theft was organized by the test pilot's superiors at Supermarine. I'm thinking War for Fun and Profit. That's about all I've got so far.

I bet you will make it, the premise of the story sounds very interesting, and virtual or not a good story is bound to grab peoples attention!  Granted this is coming from a man who neglects sleep and hits the sack at 4 in the morning just because he doesn't want to stop reading, but hey!

And yes, I actually am working on something of a story/graphic novel of sorts right now, it's a very rough draft but it is kind of inspired by Crimson Skies! (If I can get anymore stereotyped for dieselpunks I have no idea how.)
