This sequel to James Whale's other classic "Frankenstein" is even better that the original. The film is fun and fast paced, and as modern as ever. And don't mad scientists have the coolest toys and play spaces? More info on…

DieselPunk and... Religion!

Here's one out of far Left Field.... As it is Easter and today is Anzac Day here in Australia (for us Aussies roughly the equivelent of Veterans' Day, 4th of July and Pearl Harbor Day are for Americans all rolled into one)... and 'inspired' by Larry's thoughts on DieselPunk Politics I began pondering the place of Religion/God/Spirituality in the Diesel era and DieselPunk.... Now just thinking out loud here OK so no one take any of this as definitive or take offense please... To my mind there…See More

Nice to find someone else from Australia... and seemingly a Rocketeer fan too.

Hello Jean-Luc,

I see that you are fan of Biggles. I was curious if i could borrow your expertise?  Do you happen to know the exact model of Biggles first biplane? I may be building a 3d model of it at some point in the future, and as i've been doing Biggles research, it seems like he has piloted an unlimited amount of aircraft over the course of several lifetimes. It's been difficult for me to pinpoint which is actually the first. I think it's supposed to be a Sopwith Camel, but i don't know what model of Sopwith Camel. Also any information you can supply about the markings and call signs would be great too. I hope this request isn't too big of an imposition.

Basically my goal is to identify the first, so if get the time to build it, the model would  be technically correct. Any help you'd be willing to offer would be great.

Thanks for your time.

Thanks.  I haven't had time to see everything on the site yet but I believe it will be one of my favorites.  Dieselpunk seems a good fit for my other interests.

Thank you for your kind welcome! I apologize for the delayed response. I've been incredibly busy in my studio lately, and will have some exciting new images to show for it soon.
