I'm a huge IL-2 Sturmovik 1946 fan and am always looking for others to play on line with.  Check out YouTube videos under that heading.  I have it upgraded to the 4.09 patch.  On a more general note, I grew up with airplanes.  My Dad and uncle worked as engineer/physicists at NASA.  I was a "NASA Brat".

Actually, the Flying Tigers rarely ran into the A6M series Navy fighter aka. "Zero". they mostly ran into Ki-27 "Nates", Ki-43 "Oscars" and Ki-84 "Franks"(in that historical order).   All Army fighters.  Americans tended to call all single radial engined fighters "zeros".  The Ki-61 they couldn't.  It was an in line engined fighter with a Daimler Benz engine similar to the Bf-109.   This was encountered more in the southwest Pacific (Not flying Tiger territory) and was mistaken for a "Japanese 109".

Well, one of my computers had the same experience about ten years ago, and it wasn't a pleasant or easy one. Glad to hear from you, Frank.
