The narrator doesn't mention it, but the streamlined ocean liner is the work of Norman Bel Geddes, one of the two great icons of American modernist industrial design (the other one being Raymond Loewy). But the script does explain streamlining in almost exactly the way that Bel Geddes would have explained it.

the video shows some interesting pictures of what they thought the future would be like. Its great inspiration for the dieselpunk world that I've been creating.
