Deven, maybe since it was a child's outfit the manufacturer of the time wasn't trying for authenticity. And the kid, being a child, didn't care.

Huh. That boy is wearing a boys version of the Navy Dress White jumper, but with a Chief Petty Officer ratings badge on the arm. Chiefs don't wear the jumper, that's for First Class Petty Officers and below. Now I'm going to have to do some research, and find out if they did wear them back in the Twenties.

A whole lot of Christmas cheer in that house. I guess Santa brought everyone coal this year. :)
