OvationTV is currently running a special on the great Blues player Robert Johnson (May 8, 1911–August 16, 1938) called "The Search for Robert Johnson." I highly recommend it,

According to the web site:
The Search for Robert Johnson explores the troubled life and mysterious death of this legendary bluesman who was rumored to have sold his soul to the devil in exchange for his legendary guitar skills. Drawing on the research of blues scholars Mack McCormick and Gayle Dean Wardlow, the film pieces together documentary footage, interviews, and music to tell the story of an intangible spirit. Blues musician John Hammond, Jr. narrates as he guides the quest for answers by crisscrossing the Mississippi Delta, introducing viewers to Johnson's contemporaries and acquaintances, including the man who may be Johnson's long lost son. This riveting documentary explores the man behind the myth from the point of view of the people who knew him.

No, I never heard that. Interesting. In the documentary they played a song for one of his surviving girlfriends and she said it sounded just like him.

Did you ever hear that what we've been listening to all these years from Robert Johnson is actually sped up because of the recording process available at the time? The high tone of his voice in the original recordings doesn't always sit well with me, so I've slowed down a few songs by about 15 - 20% and they sound really good.

Good man, Tome. I wonder how many other people will get that.

Pretty cool. But we all know we can find Robert Johnson at the crossroads.
