I can imagine the empowerment these women must have felt...going from a traditional life as a homemaker ( a job that 99% of them shared) to branching out as skilled machinists, electronics technicians, and engineers. It amazes me that they were able to make that transition so quickly and effectively. This effort was probably the single largest step for gender equality in the 20th century. These women inspire me and make me realize that we all have the capacity to do great things with our lives.

really is a way to remember the efforts that women more involved, did for his country, no more reward than to know that they did it for the people who fought each day. Lovely pics. Thanks to post it.
