Selena Gomez & The Scene: "When The Sun Goes Down" CD

Today while out shopping with my wife I came across the newest CD by the teen pop star Selena Gomez, "When the Sun Goes Down." What caught my eye was her CD case art:

Flipping it over I found the back equally interesting:

(Sorry about the quality. This was the best image I could find.)

So I went ahead and bought it. Once home, after fighting to tear off the plastic and the anti-theft tape I found the CD itself looked very Diesel:

I found another surprise on the inside of the case beneath the CD:

While there was nothing Dieselpunk at all to the music on the CD, and the musical style isn't my cup of tea, I thought others might find this packaging of her product interesting.

I agree, D.T. I mentioned this to my wife and she asked me if it was her singing and I told her it wasn't. Her singing was perfectly good. It was the music itself that I didn't enjoy. Even by modern pop music standards I thought it was substandard but of course that could be just my own bias showing. Shame, because I think the young lady has some musical talent along with having "It", to borrow a Diesel Era phrase.

Sort of a shame she didn't try and dabble in some matching music.  I tend to think she has the pipes for it.
