KILLER SERIALS - Houdini: The Master Mystery (1920) (Part 1 of 20)

Are you brave enough?

Welcome to the first KILLER SERIALS post on Dieselpunks.

Before television, communities would huddle into the local cinema to catch up on the latest news and watch their favorite adventure stars. Not unlike our contemporary television series, a lot of these serial adventures were shot on a shoe-string budget and released as short episodes in the theaters alongside their full-length movie cousins.

I hope to bring back some of that cliffhanger mystique by broadcasting a rarely seen serial adventure during the week here at Dieselpunks.

We start KILLER SERIALS this week with one of the brightest stars of the serial era; none other than famed magician and escape artist Harry Houdini.

In his first serial adventure, The Master Mystery, young Houdini plays Justice Department agent Quentin Locke as he investigates a powerful cartel protected by a robot and some kind of gas that makes people crazy.

Yes people, I said robot.

Watch it and let me know what you think.

No shame. It's really rare. We might have the only copy available online.

Houston, we've got a problem. YouTube says it's private video and asks for a friend's request.
