Loyal Listeners of Dieselpunks
Hope you had a good weekend! I spent most of Saturday putting the final touches on our radio station's Summer playlist. It's a long time in the making, but it was worth it.
The Summer playlist is a swinging five and a half hours of music from classic artists like Billie Holiday and Count Basie to today's dieselpunk favorites like Wolfgang Parker and Caravan Palace.
We have jazz, blues, ragtime, swing, and more ready for your ears, so tune in right now at http://www.dieselpunks.org/page/dieselpunk-music
The Archives
If you're new to Dieselpunks or you just want more music, we are now archiving the old playlists such as Spring 2011 and the SPWF Speakeasy mix. Keep an ear out for more as we keep rolling towards the future.
All my best,
-Tome

Comment by Tome Wilson on August 9, 2011 at 8:46am @Merlijn - I labeled the ones that I knew, so check out the song titles. For example, I'll have "Tome's Song (1937)" as the title.
To tell the new tunes from the old tunes, check out the album cover shown in the jukebox. If it has an album cover instead of the Dieselpunks icon, it's not a classic.
Comment by Merlijn dp on August 9, 2011 at 7:31am Love the playlist! I'm spinning it at work, while colleagues collectively go "WTF is he on NOW?".
One thing that would make it even better though: could you add a column containing the year each song was released? I'm always wondering how old the songs are, especially since both the genuine swing and newer songs are present.
Comment by Tome Wilson on August 8, 2011 at 3:33pm No problem.
The main playlist can only hold 100 files at a time, so I started archiving the older playlists instead of just deleting them like I used to.
