Larry: What breaks my heart (at78 years of age) is that I could not afford the cars I had in the past and restored. I bought a 1932 Cadillac 355B Town Sedan for $50, and drove it home, In 1957 I bought a 1934 Packard Standard eight 1101 for $350. and drove it home. Now in retirement I have to be satisfied with pictures and trips to Pebble Beach (where I saw a 1937 Pierce Arrow coupe that I once owned) and meets at Hershey.
Thanks Larry, I found this site in a Google on "Hannes Bok" and was delighted to find the collection of his work posted here. Even more interesting is the fact that I can add to this collection because I now have a treasured copy of the book "The House On The Borderland" by William Hope Hodgson, which is magically adorned with the cover art of Hannes Bok. This book was given to me just the other day as an early birthday present from my Uncle, Randall D. Thomas. It turns out that I was the one who originally spotted this book in a book store some 40+ years ago, but it was only he who actually had the money to purchase this extraordinary book.
thanks for the welcome Larry :) Once I got here I found all sorts of other stuff I love as well, old cars, old planes, jazz and strange guns. I'm going to love it here :)
Hello Larry! Thank you for saying hello.. nice to have a welcome. :)
Great to hear there may already be a bit of warmth for electro swing.. Maybe you can let me know what you think of ours if you have the time? xxx www.soundassembly.co.uk or soundcloud.com/soundassembly
I'd love to go to one of your meetings, if I can find the time. Things are pretty busy for me at the moment, and it's only gonna get busier. I doubt I can attend, unfortunately, thanks for the offer though. In other news, My friends and I are building a dieselpunk city in Minecraft. The more hands we have building it, the faster it'll get done. If you want to help, we would be more then happy to give you the info.
The website for now is http://bric-a-brac.mejja.net soon to be moving to its own. I have jsut started this project to see if it will do well. Infact tomorrow I will start accepting submissions. I apy differently then most magazines. I pay per issue sold. So that if we agree at >$.25 per copy sold and we sell 1000 copies you recieve$250 and so on.

Much obliged!
Thanks. The WWII photo galeries are terrific. I'll have more of that.
