It's actually not a 9mm, its a Colt .45 1911. I had wanted to use a Colt 1903 hammerless .32 auto, as its size is more appropriate to concealing inside a suit jacket, but i couldn't find one that was in my prop budget. Automatics seem to actually be very popular in films noir of the late 40's and early 50's.

This looks cool. i can't wait to see it. One question. Wouldn't a revolver rather than a 9mm be more appropriate? Maybe I have it all wrong.
