Usually I found the Transition Era as a mix of Steam-Diesel fusion, some kind of fin de siècle fading away from the Eduardian age and closing to the First World War... not quiet right to called Steampunk, better call it (by me anyway) "Pre-diesel era" Why? Simply the steampunk takes the Victorian and the Eduardian eras as a part of the historic period from inspiration and with the common agree from the dieselpunk community of November 12 1918 as the beginning of the Dieselpunk Era we have 8 years for the Transition Era, that obviously it´s post-steampunk and pre-dieselpunk.

So as this animation film show us, and I think everybody here agree, War of the Worlds Goliath it´s as far as I understand more DIESEL than steampunk from afar...

Yeah, it doesn't have the look or feel of typical STEAMPUNK, but if ya take a look at those very highly detailed schematics for their machines you find everything runs on Hybrid Steam-ICE. Not overly practical, but VERY Alternate Universe cool. Throw Teddy into the mix, and I guess you've locked in the qualifications for a very high tech Transition Era. Which, of course, translates into "Steampunk" as far as the mass market is concerned. Me, I call the Transition Era = Diesel. But that's just me.

But gazing at those FANTASTIC bi-planes and massive mecha I certainly have to wonder . . . What will this universe look like when it really does lock full into the DIESEL Era???

Same here, Dan. I really don't see where the Steam is in this. I would say it's very Dieselpunk.

I also agree that it seems like we've been waiting an eternity for this. Every time somebody posts to the FB page all we get is "It's in final production."

Been waiting FOREVER for this one!

Still don't see any STEAM in this so-called "Steam"punk vid. Sure wish folks would stop thinking that Steam = DIESEL!!!

Anyway, . . . Ya gotta check out some of the FANTASTIC artwork that has gone into this work. = Heavy Metal Magazine Fan Page. Now THAT'S what I'm talking about when it comes to Diesel Fired Mil-Sci-Fi!!!

GIVE 'EM HELL, TEDDY!!!
