Dieselpunk + Steampunk Culture

I'm going to be at the Steampunk World's Fair in NJ this coming May and my lovely wife was asking how I plan to promote the website.

Granted, I'm going there to have fun, but it would be nice to to have something on hand that would remind people about the site after the event.

Other than standard business cards, I got to thinking about swag and what kind of things I would hold onto if it were handed to me at a convention.  Here's what I came up with:

  • Military dog tags
  • Pewter dress pins with the dieselpunks "gear" logo
  • 3" embroidered patches with the dieselpunks "gear" logo
  • Stickers with the dieselpunks "gear" logo and URL

The rough part is, these things aren't free and the maintaining the site already sucks about $150/month out of my wallet.  The last thing I want is a surplus of unmoved/unwanted swag when I could be putting that money into something better for the site.

So, here's the question.  If you seriously considered adding one of these things to your standard dieselpunk gear/wardrobe, which would you like the best?  Do you have any other totally obvious suggestions that I haven't listed?

The pins!!!!

And the dog-tags would be kick-ass too.

By the way, have you considered pamphlets? I know, they're a bit cheesy, but they're sort of cheap by comparison (not to mention they can come up wonderful if done professionally), and could act as a physical source with more information that you could easily hand out.
This logo http://www.dieselpunks.org/photo/dieselpunks-art-deco?context=album... would be really cool on a pin... I'd buy one! (though not sure if it would work in pewter though... I'm thinking maybe a gel pin?)
I haven't considered pamphlets. What sort of content would I include?
One vote for the Art Deco logo as a pin.
Just a brief definition of dieselpunk (like the one you've got on the first page), link to website, some real-life examples of dieselpunk art/gadgets (books, movies) and some pretty dieselpunk-related images scattered around the pamphlet. Do notice these are just ideas, we should brainstorm this a bit further.
We should have this on hand anyway. Great idea!
-dog tags. Excellent! Especially with the right logo.
-dress pins. Would be a great addition to any formal dieselpunk attire.
-patches and stickers. Definitely!

Out of the three.. I'd lean towards the dog tags or the dress pin.

Like you've said though.. none of these are/can be free.. so make something memorable but don't break the bank.
That said, stickers, pamphlets, 4x6 postcards.. I've had postcards and business cards made here: clubflyers.com and they turned out great! They also offer some free products (you just pay for shipping ) They use heavy card stock and their print quality is fantastic.

Either way, I look forward to seeing what you come up with..
I second the Art Deco pin.
Remmember, you don't have to take all the burden. If you need some help, ask around and I'll personally see what I can do to help. I'm sure others will agree to help as well.
I'll check them out. I'm assuming that if it's free, it has some of their marketing printed on it, right?
Thanks, man. That's real cool of you.
Both dog tags and the pins are excellent ideas! I think that the gear would be better on the pin, though, as it has a "diesely" feel, more-so than an art deco "DP." But, all of the options are wonderful!~
