Two Fisted Tuesdays with Philip Marlowe -The Hard Way Out

Welcome to Two Fisted Tuesdays, Dieselpunks' weekly beat on the mean streets.

We're listening to The Adventures of Philip Marlowe until we either run out of ammo or until poor Philip lays down for the big sleep.

Starring Gerald Mohr and starting with the famous lines, "Get this and get it straight! Crime is a sucker's road and those who travel it wind up in the gutter, the prison or the grave. There's no other way, but they never learn." The Adventures of Philip Marlowe runs about 25 minutes without commercials.

Marlowe was on his way to his new client and an embezzlement case involving 60,000 dollars. His client has enough evidence to go to the police and have the culprit arrested, but he does not want the police involved. He has his reasons, some past and some present, but it is Marlowe's job to get to the bottom of the case and find out why the embezzler is committing this crime.

Great stuff! I have XM Radio just to listen to the Old Time Radio shows on ch. 174. Along with a membership to R.U.S.C. on the web - I usually get my fix but, oddly, have missed Marlowe until now. This will inspire me to remedy this!
